On a rare sunny day in early February after days of snow, I visited Katsuyama Castle with my drone to capture its beauty standing in the midst of snow-covered rice fields. Katsuyama Castle in Fukui is the tallest reconstructed main keep in Japan (57.8m). However, the truth is this castle is really a museum-shaped castle, built by a successful local businessman in 1992. The original site where the castle once stood is located nearby. Fortunately, my drone was able to capture a gorgeous view of the castle standing in the endless rice fields covered with pure, untouched snow. You will see a beautiful sunset at the end. Notice some people waving their hands at my drone from an observation deck at the top of the castle!
