Tickets are now on sale for a striking new performance coming to Osaka in February 2026, as digital art collective HITOHATA teams up with the internationally active Senju Dance Company. Titled "HITOHATA x Senju Dance Company Special Performance – The Immersive Nihon Buyo," this limited-run event promises an atmospheric fusion of classical Japanese dance and cutting-edge digital art, lighting up the Osaka night in a way that can only be experienced here.
Running across two weekends from Friday, February 6th to Sunday, February 15th, 2026, the performance will be staged at two Osaka venues: Knowledge Theater at Grand Front Osaka and ABC Hall. Produced by Ikki Co., Ltd., the show brings together Osaka-based performers who are active both in Japan and overseas, with HITOHATA's signature projection mapping transforming the stage into an immersive visual world.
At the heart of the program is Nihon Buyo, a traditional Japanese dance form closely connected to Kabuki. Audiences can expect to see well-loved classical pieces such as Fujimusume, Shunko Kagamijishi, and Osatsuma, accompanied by shamisen music. What makes this production unique is how the dances are interwoven with digital imagery that shifts in real time, synchronized to the movements and stories unfolding on stage.
