春爛漫、上野公園のさくら通りは緩やかなカーブを描く桜のトンネルになっていました。ここには世界中の人が桜の花を楽しむために集まってきます。静かに座って花を眺める人も、立ち止まって写真を撮る人も、お弁当を広げてお花見を楽しむ人も、本当に国際色豊かです。
上野公園の桜は、寒桜や河津桜などの早咲きから、4月初めに満開を迎える染井吉野、紅しだれ、山桜のほか、遅咲きの吉野しだれ桜など種類が豊富で、3月中旬から4月中旬まで、長く満開の時期を楽しむことができます。
