Autumn in Tenryu-ji Temple, Kyoto

While I waited for my wife, who was waiting herself in a long, long line to see Tenryu-ji Temple's famous garden, I found a quiet corner where I could sit and enjoy some people-watching. Of course, I couldn't also help but do some autumn leave watching. Like most places in Kyoto this time of year, the Japanese Maples were in full bloom and proud as a peacock. Everyone here was cheerful and excited...and happy to be alive.
