Tokyo Station is a train station in Marunouchi located just next to the Imperial Palace and Ginza. It is also where most bullet train services depart. Here you will also be able to pick up your JR Pass at the JR East Travel Service Center if you have purchased it before coming to Japan. There are also lots of restaurants available in Tokyo Station, including many along the popular Tokyo Ramen Street.
