The Zao Shuttle Bus is a seasonal shuttle bus service that connects Kaminoyama-Onsen Station and Zao Onsen Bus Terminal, leading you to some of the most stellar ski resorts and hot springs in Yamagata Prefecture.
From January 11th to February 28th, you can conveniently access Zao Onsen and enjoy the snowy winter wonderland that is Yamagata.
This service is recommended for those staying in Kaminoyama, as well as those who want to enjoy Zao without worrying about driving on snowy roads.
The shuttle bus will depart from the Kaminoyama Onsen Tourist Information Center, take a brief stop at the Yamagata Zao Roadside Station, and arrive at the Zao Onsen Bus Terminal. The trip takes approximately 45 minutes.
There are three daily departure times from Kaminoyama Onsen Tourist Information Center at 8:30am, 11:00am, and 2:00pm.
If you are returning from Zao Onsen Bus Terminal, the bus departs at 10:00am, 12:00pm, and 3:50pm.
